CNC Mill Operator (First and Second Shifts Available [Shift differential can be paid]) – Training can be provided.

Summary:

As an automatics Operator you will be safely operating CNC mill equipment.  You are required to meet all quality specifications and production rate on one machine.  You will be inspecting parts, using a variety of measuring techniques, to support the conformance requirements.  Training can be provided as necessary.

Essential Duties:

  • Operate the CNC Mill equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Measure and monitor parts using appropriate instruments to meet all quality standards (conformance).
  • Loads stock into machine, replaces worn tools, may utilize offsets as training dictates.
  • Meet production rates (employee efficiency).
  • Support your team leader
  • Cross train when provided the opportunity and perform any other task assigned

Occasional: Participate in company wide VA/VE activities for key customers.

Required Skills:

  • Preference for experience on CNC machines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.

Acme Operator (First and Second Shift [shift differential is paid]) – Training can be provided

Summary:

As an automatics Operator you will be safely operating Acme equipment.  You are required to meet all quality specifications and production rate on 2 or more machines.  You will be inspecting parts, using a variety of measuring techniques, to support the conformance requirements.  Training can be provided as necessary.

  • Operate the Acme and/or Davenport equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Measure and monitor parts using appropriate instruments to meet all quality standards (conformance).
  • Loads stock into feeding mechanism, replaces worn tools, may operate surface grinder to sharpen tools.
  • Meet production rates (employee efficiency).
  • Support your team leader
  • Cross train when provided the opportunity and perform any other task assigned

Occasional: Participate in company wide VA/VE activities for key customers.

Required Skills:

  • Preference for experience on Acme machines or similar automatics is preferred but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.

CNC Mill/Lathe Programmer Set-Up Operator

Summary:

As a CNC Set-Up Operator you will be safely programming, setting up and operating CNC Mill/Lathe equipment. You will be required to produce an efficient, robust program and set-up, equal or below estimated time, that manufactures parts within statistical capability to meet specifications and production rate on 2 or more machines. You will be inspecting parts, using a variety of measuring techniques, to support the conformance requirements.

Essential Duties:

  • Set up new jobs on a variety of CNC machines (Citizen, Ganesh, Tsugami, etc.)
  • Support the development of new CNC programs.
  • Run production parts off multiple machines (2) at once.
  • Check parts utilizing mics, comparators, gages and other key quality equipment.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to product quality.
  • Provide feedback on part/job performance and how to improve output and quality and document changes.
  • Loads stock into feeding mechanism, replaces worn tools, may operate surface grinder to sharpen tools, recommends tooling, changes method to improve cycle time and documents those changes, supports creating cycle times during quoting process, and may use statistical process control techniques.

Occasional: Participate in company wide VA/VE activities for key customers.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Swiss machines.
  • Expertise in materials, tools, feeds, speeds, cams and gears
  • Understanding of a manufacturing environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to clearly communicate and write in English

Automatics Set Up

Summary:

As an Acme-Gridley Set-up you will be safely setting up ACME equipment. You will be required to produce a robust set-up, equal or below estimated time, that manufactures parts within statistical capability to meet specifications and production rate on two or more machines. You will be inspecting parts, using a variety of measuring techniques, to support the conformance requirements.

Essential Duties:

  • Setup new jobs on an Acme-Gridley machine using pre-defined materials, tools, feeds, speeds, cams, and gears from setup sheets.
  • Check parts utilizing mics, comparators, gages and other key quality equipment.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to product quality.
  • Provide feedback on part/job performance and how to improve output and quality and document changes.
  • Loads stock into feeding mechanism, replaces worn tools, may operate surface grinder to sharpen tools, recommends tooling, changes method to improve cycle time and documents those changes, supports creating cycle times during quoting process, and may use statistical process control techniques.
